How to subscribe to Blackberry Internet Service from Glo, Airtel, MTN and Etisalat Nigeria
Most times when we need to quickly switch networks or change our subscription plan we do face some difficulties in getting the right subscription code for the plan we want. Also, some people do not know what plans are available and thereby, they are stock on the only plan they know, even when it is not convenient for them.
Today, I have brought together the Blackberry Internet Service subscription plans and their respective codes for MTN Nigeria, Glo Mobile Nigeria, Airtel Nigeria and Etisalat Nigeria under one roof.

Glo bills you on Ў☺ΰяy normal account while browsing if you are on comonth package. have not tried BISMONTH yet.

To get an MEP code, it can only be generated based on details of your phone. MEP codes are unique, they are not universal.

As at today, MTN does not offer BIS DAY subscription plans.

Pls, i was told dat all the network have come down to #1500 monthly for subscription instead of the #3,000 monthly subscription. Is it true or false
Thats a false information. MTN now has a BIS rate of N1,500 but the services are limited to that of N3,000

I think pricing is a choice of the operators. However NCC (Nigerian Communication Commission) can regulate their pricing to some extent.

Dont mind them. Activation codes are everywhere.
send DEACTIVATE to 440. Took me longer than usualto get the information. And they kept deducting for bis cos I had money on the phone (but d fone was off). No be their fault…

Currently there is no way to do it. You’d have to let the plan run out and then you can choose not to auto-renew

Just simply recharge again and subscribe to the BBC plan. But note you cannot transfer the earlier funds for this purpose. You would need to recharge your phone again and do it properly this time.
please am using airtel nd i subscirbd to bbc monthly nd nw ma data plan has xhausted i.e i reachd itz limit and cannot browse anymore nd i loaded anoda credit and tried d plan again bcos i hv an active plan so nw am trying to deactivated d current 1 and start a new 1 hw do i do it plz reply as soon as possible…michael
Thanks for your comment. You would have to call the Airtel Customer Care so that they would deactivate the other active plan and then you can now resubscribe again.
you could also send DEACTIVATE as an SMS to 440

Simply do not put sufficient funds in your phone on the day of expiration, that way, it would not be able to auto-renew and it would automatically terminate.

what do u mean by complete and unlimited
The unlimited allows you to run 10 email accounts on your blackberry while the complete gives you everything the unlimited offers but only allows you run 1 email account.

Are you sure you subscribed for a day? Or did you subscribe for like a week but then exhausted it in a day?

Thanks Offiong. The answer to your question is simple. The N3,000 and N1,500 plans are the same in every way except that with the N3,000 plan, you can run 10 email accounts on your blackberry but with the N1,500 plan, you are entitled to run only one email account. The data limits for both plans are unlimited, although fare usage rules apply.

There is currently no other means of going about it. Until MTN does that, you would have to cope with it.

I hope you are not using your blackberry as a modem to browse on your PC.
No am not using it I don’t even own a laptop
Check your Internet Browser settings and ensure that it is set to ‘Internet Browser’ and not ‘Wap Browser’. Also do a hard-restart by pulling out your battery for few seconds while the phone is still on.
Where cn dat settings be located am using dis new curve 3+ and wit os7.1 so d settings is not easy
Just enter your internet browser and press the ‘blackberry logo’ key. You should see options, click, then go ahead from there.

I haven’t used Etisalat for Blackberry Internet Service but those who have, say they are wonderful. However, network quality is location dependent atimes, so Id advice you research about the quality of the data services of the network you intend to use in your location before subscribing.

You need configure nothing. Just subscribe to Etisalat Bis and it would auto-config by itself

Hi, jst got a BB curve 7 and subscribed for mtn BBWeek 500. When it expired I was expecting to get a notification that I shld subscribe for another week or month as d case may be, but I didn’t. I loaded my phone with 1500 and wanted to change to BBC(complete) monthly. Instead mtn deducted my phone of 500 and told me that my subscription is still active and dat I have one more week. This has happen twice. I am tired of dis weekly stuff and want to change to d monthly plan. Plssssss, hw do I go abt it. Thanks
You are having the said problem because your BB plan is set to auto renew. You have to send a text to a particular number to cancel auto-renew and then when you current plan expires, you can now use any other plan that you intend.

You do not need to. But if you want to browse the internet on your phone without being charged from your credit, you would need to subscribe to a data plan

That’s false. It is totally compatible. Just ensure you get an original and ensure that it is not locked to another network.

Simply stop subscribing for now and then call your network’s customercare
i cant check my account balance and cant recharge on my bb bold 9930 with my mtn line but can do it on glo, what should i do because i need the mtn line on the phone
It happens. There is a way around it but for now, you can recharge your mtn by dialing 181 or at the Automated Teller Machine (ATM)
