Gadget fans waiting anxiously for the next iPhone to be released may be reaching the home stretch.
Apple, which has made no official announcement, is planning a September 12 event at which the next generation of the iconic smartphone will presumably be announced, according to multiple reports.
iMore, an Apple-oriented blog, was the first to report that “sources who have proven accurate in the past” said the phone will be introduced at an event that day and released nine days later. Observers are calling it the iPhone 5, although no name has been announced. Continue reading →

Apple is notoriously secretive about its technical innovations and rumours of the smaller tablet are said to have originated from the Far East, where many of the company’s devices are manufactured.

World of Warcraft, a popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game that has been part of many stereotypes of grown men living in their mothers’ basements, playing the game day in and day out – may be headed for the iPhone. A quote (shown below) from Senior WoW producer John Lagrave, says it all.
“We won’t do it until we think it’s decent. But it’s interesting and the world is evolving towards that little handheld device – I’d have fun on it, that’s absolutely the case. It would be foolish for any game developer to not be looking at that and we’re not – we don’t think- we’re foolish!”
