Posted by Ahmed | October 3, 2011, 3:16 pmPlease do you have recharge units in your phone? As this method does not use data from your Blackberry Subscription Quota but rather you would be billed directly from the units on your phone.
Posted by Eta Uso Jr | October 3, 2011, 3:22 pmNo, I don’t. I’ll load and revert. Thanks a lot Sir. Regards.

Posted by Pharrell | October 13, 2011, 11:02 amThis thread heading is misleading. It should be ‘using ur blackberry as a modem (without BIS)’.
If one is charged seperately from their BIS subscription, it should be stated there. But over all, thanks for posting such a feed.

Posted by Eta Uso Jr | November 12, 2011, 7:34 amKool info man,, just one question.. Can u hav both a BIS plan and another seperate “normal” internet plan subscribed at the same time on a BB.. With glo or mtn?.
Posted by gozz | October 22, 2011, 3:21 pmYes. Perfectly yes. But then, whenever you want to use the other internet plan, it would mean you having to tweak your TCP/IP settings on your BB.
Posted by Eta Uso Jr | October 23, 2011, 7:26 amIt’s not working. I’m I missing something?

Posted by Eta Uso Jr | January 7, 2012, 2:33 pmIt worked perfectly. The problem im having is, they collect my call units. My chief, is there any other way to make it use my BIS? Pls help me out.
Posted by Patrick | January 23, 2012, 8:57 pmThere is no way to use your Blackberry as a modem and make it charge from your BIS. It would only work using the units from your phone.
Posted by Eta Uso Jr | January 27, 2012, 8:11 pmYour post Ĩ̷̊s misleading like someone rightly said, but Йợ̣̣̇̇̇τ̲̅ withstanding. ℓ̊ think your should find access point of glo blackberry α̲̅πϑ replace it with the normal glosecure that everyphone uses, den U̶̲̥̅̊ r charged from your bis. The big issue Ĩ̷̊s now what’s d APN

Posted by collins | June 2, 2012, 1:07 pmHow about using the data plan for BIS instead of my units? It’s damn expensive!
Posted by Bellman | June 4, 2012, 9:35 pmCurrently, there is no proven way to browse on your laptop or PC using your BIS Data-Plan

Posted by Ben | June 23, 2012, 6:34 amYes you can but your subscription would not count as you may be trying to ask above. Using your blackberry as a modem, you will be charged from the recharge balance in your phone.

Posted by Samuel | September 18, 2012, 5:38 pmYou can’t. Get a sim and put into your Tab and subscribe.
Posted by Eta Uso Jr | September 20, 2012, 2:59 pmThanks Eta, but my Tab do not have a slot for Sim card. That is my problem.
Posted by Anonymous | September 20, 2012, 5:22 pmNot all Tabs have 3G capability. You would checked this before you bought it. Your Tab must be the Wifi-only version.
Posted by Eta Uso Jr | September 30, 2012, 3:53 pmThanks Eta, but my tab do not have a Sim slot that is my problem. Is there any solution here for me?
Posted by Anonymous | September 20, 2012, 5:29 pmAny idea of how to browse on your laptop using your BIS
Posted by Hally | September 21, 2012, 7:52 amUsing your Blackberry with O.S7 and running on MTN BIS (full monthly subscription), you can broadcast your network as Wifi using Mobile Hotspot and browse on your PC or Laptop
Posted by Eta Uso Jr | September 30, 2012, 3:52 pmPls if i buy normal internet subscription on my glo blackberry will it work while my bis is still active and i connect it as a modem?

Posted by Eta Uso Jr | November 26, 2012, 1:51 amThanks for your good and prompt reply. Please listen to me , i beg :- I say in Jesus Name that May your light never grow dim. this will be the foundation of your light getting better and rising in Jesus Name.
My BB Touch is becoming slower and slower in opening browser especially when i touch or click an icon or browser and also in Opening Mails , what should I do to Clean it up? or what should i do generally? (ii) How do i find a good working Anti-virus for it and how should i install it.
Posted by collins | November 27, 2012, 2:26 pmYou do not need an anti-virus for your bb. It would only slow it down further. Just backup your phone numbers and then do a Phone Swipe, it would reset your bb back to the way it came from the factory and would free you phone from all the clogged up apps and stuffs that is making it sluggish
Posted by Eta Uso Jr | November 27, 2012, 2:55 pmplease i have nokia e7 , and i am using netqin antivirus. but now my nokia e7 is also very sluggishly slow in opening, when i say sluggishly slow, i meant very very sluggishly slow. i have tried cleaning up with netqin, but still very slow, what should i do now?
Posted by collins | November 27, 2012, 2:39 pmJust backup your data and do a full phone reset. I believe you have too many applications in your phone and these cause even very fast phone to become sluggish
Posted by Eta Uso Jr | November 27, 2012, 2:53 pmDude, my friend uses his Bold5 mobile hotspot, connects to his laptop via wifi and browses via his BIS mbs. I use a Curve4 which also has d mobile hotspot function but instead of takin the Mbs, it takes ma credit. What can i do?
Posted by Yinkore | December 26, 2012, 4:02 pmI am sure your friend uses Etisalat and most importantly, he must be paying the full BIS monthly subscription of N3,000 and not the N1,500 (monthly/weekly packages)
Posted by Eta Uso Jr | December 26, 2012, 4:04 pmPls can I use my Torch2 for hotspot without being charged from my airtime if I subscribe for the MTN full month bis?
Posted by dbraveheart | January 6, 2013, 8:42 amCannot say same for this moment as I have not tried it recently but up till few months ago; subscribing to full month mtn bis allowed you to use your blackberry as a hotspot and internet usage was then charged from your bis data-plan and not your airtime.
Posted by Eta Uso Jr | January 6, 2013, 10:34 amPlease what is “hotspot” pleas and what & what are its usefulness?.
Please also, my tourch 2 does not download youtube video or too too slow to download video or Stream video for watching. I’m I d one that is impatient or there is something I needed to set that was not set .thanks. Happy new year. CK.
Posted by collins.adaramola@gmail.com | January 8, 2013, 4:47 amDownloading speeds are purely network dependent. Also, confirm to ensure that your 3G mode is activated. ‘Hotspot’ allows your broadcast your blackberry’s internet connection as Wifi and therefore your other wireless devices can connect and browse the internet using your blackberry’s connection
Posted by Eta Uso Jr | January 8, 2013, 9:40 amWell, I tried it & it didn’t work. Or is there any settings I need to change or maybe modify?. What exactly did U do when it worked, did U just subscribe and connected it or was there a process U followed?. Thanks.
Posted by dbraveheart | January 8, 2013, 5:03 amPls Eta, I trying to use my Blackberry subcription sim browse on my PC , can u pls help me with the confirguration settings, Pls respond
Posted by Ope | January 19, 2013, 7:51 amWhen ever I turn on my hotspot on my bold 5 my network signal drops down, what really the cause.
Posted by Sirjeff | January 14, 2014, 6:41 amI couldn’t enter the Extra initialization command. The space wasn’t open for typing
